Professional sleeper

Do you ever just want to stay in bed instead of going to work? For professional sleepers that is there job! Professional sleepers are people who test beds and help researches do studies.

Professional sleepers test beds. When a company comes out with a new type of bed or use different materials they usually call in a professional sleeper to test it out. A professional sleeper lays day on the bed and takes a nap. When the wake up they let the manufacturers know if the bed was comfortable or not, to sleep on. They also let the manufasturers know if they felt any pain (back, neck, shoulders) when they woke up.

Professional sleepers also help researchers do studies on sleeping and dreams. Students from college often do studies on the brain when it's asleep and studies on dreams. A professional sleeper will have a bunch of cords, wires, and research equipment put on them while they are sleeping. The students will watch the brains activity and take notes on it.

I think this would be a fun profession! I never get enough sleep but if I had this job I am sure that I would never be tired.

Zumba Instructor

Zumba is the most fun way to get into shape! You get to dance to fun, exciting music while dropping calories fast! Zumba is designed to help you loss weight fast by dancing to (usually) Latin music. It combines all different kinds of dance styles and music. It is personally my favorite workout class because it has fun upbeat music and cool, fun dance moves. I go twice a week. I've noticed myself losing weight after the second week of going. The weight loss is why I keep going there. I have never had results this good and this fast doing any other program.

To be a Zumba instructor you must complete a training course and get an instructors license. You then have to keep your licence current by taking any of the classes shown below:
  • Zumba Basics 1 or Jump Start Gold     -    Zumba Basics 1 teaches an instructor dance moves and how to put them together while Jump Start Gold teaches an instructor how to start a class for older people. It address the needs of older people in the community.

  • Zumba Basics 2                                   -    Zumba Basics 2 teaches an instructor six more types of dance which include belly dance, tango, flamenco, samba, soca, and quebradita.

  • Zumba Toning                                     -     Zumba Toning teaches instructors body-sculpting techniques. This class also teaches you how to weights will doing dance-like moves and working out all of the target areas.

  • Aqua Zumba                                      -    Aqua Zumba teaches instructors how to create a safe water-based workout.

  • Zumbatomic                                      -    Zumbatomic teaches instructors how to create a class for children ages 4-12. This class also teaches tips about discipline.

It is recommended that a person should do Zumba two to six times a week. There is no chance for the body to recover so it has no choice but to burn calories. Typically in an hour long class the average person burns over 1000 calories! Zumba isn't that expensive. Usually, it's $5-$7 per class with your first time being free.

Geneticist

Geneticists are biologists who study genetics. There are different fields involving genetics which include:
  • Genetic Counseling
  • Disease and Disorders
  • Prenatal
  • Pregnancy
  • Evaluation

Genetic Counseling:

Genetic Counseling deals with families who have a history of genetic defects, and these counselors help families understand their genetic history.

To be a geneticss counselor, you must have a master degree in human genetics, counseling, or a related field. You must also have a certification to prove it. A genetic counselor, on average, makes $58,184 annually.

They spend a good amount of time with their patients while writing down in-depth details about their medical history and then reviewing the data and evaluating it. They try to find hidden problems and expose the potential for future problems.

Not only do they research this information, they also act as counselors, to try to help the family cope if they find that something is very wrong with them or one of their family members.

Prenatal:

A prenatal geneticist looks at and finds out the possible inherited conditions that parents could pass along to their children. They suggest tests that the family should take to find out more in-depth information. In addition, genetic counselors may create "training" programs or prescribe medicines that could help families to overcome inherited conditions.

Evolution:

Evolutionary biologists look at genetics across different periods of time. Some look at certain periods of time while others look at the oldest known genes and compare them to the genes of today.

Women Undercover

In 1978 there was a case about human smuggling. A woman who was undercover went to a bar that was known as a hub for human smugglers. She pretended to be a Mexican trying to be smuggled into the USA. They made her swim across a river and stay in a room with dozens of others who were waiting to be smuggled into the USA. She convinced them to stop at a gas station where she gave the cashier a napkin with the phone number of the agency. The cashier then called the agency and the cops came and arrested the smugglers.

When thinking of undercover agents most of the time people think about men, but there are women undercover agents too. People don't usually expect women to do this job. Women undercover agents flirt and mess with guys emotions to get them to give out information.

It's not easy to become an undercover agent though.
  1. First you need to go to college and get a degree in criminal justice or a criminal justice field.
  2. Find the place where you want to work including the FBI, CIA, or a police station (usually doesn't require a degree, but would give you more of a chance to get the job.)
  3. You have to take the TEA examination(Treasury Enforcement Agent.)
  4. Next, you have to pass a series of very in-depth interviews.
  5. You also have to pass a polygraph test about previous jobs. This test is to ensure that you keep private information, private.
  6. Along with that you have to pass a background and drug test.
  7. You have to pass several health tests and be determined as "physically fit."
  8. Once you're accepted you have to do 10 weeks of all kinds of training.
Requirements
  • You must be a U.S. citizen.
  • You must be between 21 and 37 when you have your appointment.
  • You must have a valid drivers license.
  • You must have good vision.
  • You must possess a bachelors degree in a criminal justice Field, from an accredited (well known) college.
I plan to be in the FBI when I get older. I love helping people and making a difference. I can block out my emotions which is critical for doing any type of public safety work. It's not easy to get into the FBI. It is a challenge to get in that good of shape. I recommend working out 6 times a week for at least an hour. That includes running and weight lifting.
